This was 2024

“Life is about the adventures you take and the memories you make. So travel often and live life with open eyes and an open heart.”

Goodbye 2024. What a year and I would say we rocked it. Filled with fun, freedom and happiness and lots of travel and dogs - how it should be.

So what did 2024 bring?

As you know this part will include numbers as for some reason I LOVE year reviews in numbers. So let's go :)

In 2024 I photographed 1 Cathedral Cat (hello Hodge) and lots of street cats around Europe. And yes I did cuddle them all and wanted to bring them all home.

I had two horses, 4 Elephants, 2 Tigers, 7 Lions, lots of Monkeys and Meerkats, 1 snake, 6 Capybaras and some Alpacas, Bongod and Camels in front of my camera. And I was honored to capture so many dogs and was able to create some wonderful memories for so many people. We had Wood Sessions, Beach Sessions, City Shots ... the biggest pack were 5 dogs of all sizes. I got muddy so many times, lost some hats and gloves to the doggos but hey who counts :p

A heartfelt thank you to all my wonderful clients who trusted me to create memories of their furry companions for them.

I am truly honored and I loved meeting you all and your doggies. Thank you.

I was lucky to photograph dogs at the most amazing Black Beach in Iceland and in Reykjavik and fingers crossed I will be back at the most beautiful island in the world next year.

Oh, and I am happy to say that Europe sessions will be fully back in 2025.

And as we are in the travel part of my year review, if you follow me on Instagram you will know I did travel a little bit ... So let's do the numbers:

I am blessed to have visited 20 countries in 2024, three of them with Lucy and Archie Beagle on our Germany-Belgium- France Roadtrip, which was so fun.

I had 40 flights, meaning I flew 41906 miles or 67441km which is the equivalent of flying 1.7 times around the earth. I saw 2 World Wonders and I can not say I have visited every single Wonder of the World. Finally made it to India, which I fell in love with, saw a real live volcano in Iceland, continued my Balkan Tour, went on the highest mountain in Germany, saw the most colourful fish in Egypt, chased history in Poland, rode the tram in Lisbon, explored Rome, drunk wine in Milan, ate oysters in Jersey and saw the famous lake in Hallstatt, Austria.

So yes, it was a full year of travelling which will be continued in 2025, with country No 60, a country which is not a country and exploring the crossroads between Europe and Asia.

And yes I will try to start a travel blog, so keep your eyes open.

So ... I think this is it. Thank you 2024 for an amazing year. Thank you for all the fun and the experiences you had in your bag for me.

Lucy and Archie had some great adventures and they even made it to Europe. They sniffed along the beaches of Normandie, barked in Ghent, climbed mountains in Germany, sniffed out the Ghosts in Rothenburg and enjoyed a boat ride on the Mosel. It's a dog's life.

A big thank you also to my hubby, who supported me throughout the year with my business and let me moan about life the the world :p He also did the whole drive through Europe as our car decided to become a diva (women lol).

So here is to 2025. Let's explore, live life to the fullest, let's travel and drink wine and let's enjoy every single day. Happy New Year everyone :)

A big Awooof from Bridget and The Beagles
