It all started with a Map …

If you know me and follow me on Instagram, you will know travelling is in my blood. But where did it all start?

Maybe it was the magical Christmas Stories I saw as a kid or the Western Movies with my mum or maybe it was the first old Map of the World I got from possibly my dad. I opened the pages and saw maps, photos of rivers and mountains and cities and islands. Or maybe I am an old soul and the need of travelling is just a need, it is just life and I reach for it with every part of my mind.

So we got the why. Where to next.

As I am starting this blog I am on country No 59, about to reach country No 60. For someone who grew up behind the iron curtain in the GDR with its closed borders, and tbh for anyone else really, it is a huge achievement. I have seen all the Wonders of the World, a journey which started in 1999. But to this another time. I am a normal traveller, meaning my adventures are next to my normal job as a Dog Photographer. I travel when I can and sometimes this means I fly out after work, two days of adventure and back to work the next day. Thats how I roll.

So what will this blog (maybe I should call it “Just another Travel Blog?) be about? Well it will be about my adventures. By no means will I be dancing on a mountain with a dress (I leave this to the all beloved real fluencers). This blog will be about a day trips, about windowseats and wine, about long trips, trips with dogs and so much more. There won’t be any adverts or promos, it will be just about having fun, being a little crazy and just enjoying travelling.

So do join me on my crazy ride on planet earth … in a windowseat with wine of course. Because even when you fly economy, there needs to be some luxury.
